In today's era, the acquisition and utilization of information resources have become increasingly important. With robust support from the center's leadership and its affiliated units, the Information Center has introduced a series of high-quality domestic and international literature databases. This initiative aims to provide researchers and graduate students with more comprehensive and convenient academic resources.
The databases procured by the Information Center include Chinese full-text databases such as the China Hospital Knowledge Database (CHKD), Wanfang Data Knowledge Service Platform, and Superstar Library, as well as foreign full-text databases like Elsevier Science Direct, The Lancet, Science, the Journal of the American Medical Association (JAMA), the American Society for Microbiology (ASM) Journals, the British Medical Journal (BMJ), the New England Journal of Medicine (NEJM), Web of Science, Ebook Central, and the document delivery database Medalink. This year, the collection has been further enhanced with the addition of the Journal Citation Reports (JCR) database. JCR is a unique multidisciplinary journal evaluation tool that covers over 20,000 journals across 254 disciplines from more than 110 countries and regions. It is interconnected with the Web of Science Core Collection, offering a clearer and more accurate visualization of data, allowing users to easily create, store, and export reports.
The scientific literature databases procured by the Information Center encompass multiple fields including medicine, life sciences, pharmacy, and health management. These resources are vital for the center's researchers, research management departments, journal editorial teams, and graduate students, facilitating the achievement of research objectives through access to essential academic resources. Moreover, the use of these databases is promoted and extended through training, distribution of promotional brochures, and other methods. This not only effectively increases the utilization of literature resources but also aids in advancing the center's research development, enhancing the institution's scientific capabilities and academic influence. Researchers can access the latest research findings and stay abreast of developments in their fields through these databases, driving breakthrough progress in various research areas. Graduate students can use these databases to expand their knowledge base and enhance their scientific literacy, further reflecting the center's educational and training functions.
To meet the needs of researchers for more convenient access to scientific literature resources, the Information Center has integrated the procured literature resources into the "Scientific Literature Service System," achieving efficient utilization of academic resources.
Going forward, the Information Center will continue to enhance the promotion and publicity of the scientific literature databases, provide excellent service and guidance for resource usage, and assist researchers and students in becoming familiar with database usage methods and techniques. This will improve search efficiency and support the high-quality development of the center's scientific research.
